Oh what a beautiful day.....
No, I'm not in Oklahoma.. I'm close...it is about an hours drive from here...but my heart belongs to Texas.
So why the lyrics?
There are a couple of reasons....
Today I am the featured chef on Moda Bakeshop!
Soooo, I've decided to have a give away!
I've bundled up the left overs from my project...tied them with a ribbon...and plan to send them to someone. (No you can't have my little kitty, just the fabric) Leave a comment and tell me what you might make with it. (There are 40, 9"x 22" pieces give or take.) I will randomly draw a winner next Friday...oh no not next Friday....I'll be at a quilt show...oh yeah....how about next Thursday, August 9. Good luck!
And there is more....
These goodies came in the mail yesterday! Dear friends of mine are expecting their first grand baby and told me that the nursery is being decorated in an island theme. These fabric bundles come from Kwilts n Koa. The fabric comes from an Aloha Shirt/Muumuu factory and are either cotton or a cotton blend. I've used them before and love the results.
The pin cushion....that's for me....I've admired them for a long time and decided to treat myself. Isn't it pretty?
And there is more....
I bet Carol thought I had forgotten her....but I saved the best for last!
I won her recent give away. How cool is that? She sent me a sack of yummy Kona scraps....
and a surprise....
She was right...I do like it! Thank you my friend.

I am not sure what I would make but I loved your tutorial and I love the Cinnamon and Spice collection from Blackbird designs.
Thanks for a chance to win:)
I love this fabric and I really liked your quilt tutorial. If I am lucky enough to win, I would use these fabrics with some fat quarters to make your quilt or maybe start a tumbler quilt. Thanks for the chance.
I love those fabrics too! Beautiful colors and a beautiful quilt...

I thought your quilt was beautiful and doable. I spent the day yesterday organizing my fabric tubs and think I can pull this off in red, white, and blue starting with one layer cake and adding in other fabric. Thank you for your clear instructions!
Deborah and Rusty loves the kitty
Congrats on being featured again in the bakeshop!
Love your recipe on Moda Bakeshop! I have two layer cakes that have been sitting patiently waiting for a project and I found it! They will be so happy. :) Would love your leftovers!
Happy Sewing!!!
p.s. I am a new follower! Glad I found you. :)
I think those scraps would make some cute new placemats! Thanks for the giveaway & congrats on the bakeshop feature!!
I would make a quilt with your scraps if I win. So pretty....

After seeing your project at Moda Bake Shop and then reading your recipe (along with your bits of humor) I just had to click on your blog to "meet you." I'm so glad I did or I may have missed out on some yummy scraps!! Those pieces are large enough to create a mini version! Count me in on your draw please! I hope too you will visit my blog...tomorrow is the last day for a Blog Hop Book Tour Give Away....get there!
I love your tutorial! Thanks for the chance to win!

Love the quilt! I came over from Where I Sew at Pink Chalk Studio to get a look at your studio and this is where I landed. Must check out the rest of your blog so I can see the studio but I think I should also enter your give-away. I think these fabrics would work with the fabrics I have been collecting for a quilt I want to start soon!
I love your Moda Bake shop project. I'm very partial to the reds and greens combination. I'd probably make a lap size quilt.
Thanks
Great Moda Bakeshop project! I'm in love with your quilt and I'd love to get my hands on your leftovers. Leftovers make the best scrappy projects and mug rugs for the girls at work would be just the ticket! Thank you for a great tutorial and the chance to WIN!
Thanks for your inspiring quilt pattern tutorial! I've been watching Moda Bake Shop for a pattern that jumps out and says 'Make Me'. With your left-overs I'd love to make a bed runner as those colours will suit my bedroom. Thanks so much for your kindness! edeharries@gmail.com
Such a great tutorial! I love the Cinnamon and Spice collection. Your left-overs would make some great smaller HST's for a wall hanging...with a touch of applique! Thanks for your tutorial and a chance to win! shellybrown@tds.net
Hi Cindy. I saw this over at the bake shop. Good for you ; ) thanks for the chance. Not sure, but maybe a lap quilt.
I would use the scraps for a table runner, and perhaps a doll quilt for my granddaughters. Love the pattern at Moda Bake Shop.
Love those fabrics. I would make a quilt for a friend of mine because those warm colours would work perfectly in her home. Thanks for the giveaway, Cindy. And congratulations on doing so well with Moda Bakeshop.
Your latest MBS quilt is great...I love the way the lights and darks from that line work together. If I won that prize, I think I would make a mini version of your quilt!
Love the quilt. I would make a table topper if I won, but also am wanting to do a big quilt like yours. It's beautiful!
Wow, Cindy, pretty quilt! And a nice feature on Moda to show it off. Nice win from Carol too!
Just came over to visit from Moda Bake Shop...loved your tutorial...the fabrics are lovely and I would love to win your leftovers... I think I would make a smaller version of your quilt....HST's are just so much fun to play with. I am a new follower...LindaB

Hi! I would use your leftovers to make a mini version of your quilt for a table topper!
Just wish the "Print" link would work on the Bake Shop page . ...
Thanks for the giveaway!!!
Me too I can't print your lovely tutorial ... I hope the link will be accessible soon.
Thanks again, have a nice week !
Jo from Quebec
Add to it and make another quilt. Thanks for the giveaway. pegwatkins@comcast.net
Hi, Love the quilt on Moda Bake shop, but no one can print it. Your colors are great, would love your "left-overs"!
dianlee@hughes.net
It is a beautiful and simple design. I use my Nook to access the instructions. No pesky printing! I would make a Christmas tree skirt with the remnants :)
Lovely quilt Cindy but the link is still not working .... I hope it will be fixed soon???
I would love to make a small quilt for my little girl with your left overs! I am pretty new to quilting and she is so encouraging and would just love a little quilt. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful "recipe" at the "Bake Shop." :-)
Would make a small version of your bakeshop quilt. My fingers are itching to get started.
Well cinnamon makes me feel Christmassy, and I've just been to Kim's, and she's all Christmassy too! And I guess it will come, um, 40 scraps, that would make 80 8" squares, 9 big nine patches, cut into 36 vanishing 9 patches, with a border, andthen a blocky border from 8x4s from the left overs, ooh that sounds like a plan!!!! Love the island fabrics, off to visit the shop!
Oh, congrats on the recipe, I got carried away using the fabric, and neglected to mention!
Such a pretty quilt. Well done! Add me to your giveaway!!
Congratulations on another recipe - well done you! And thanks for the chance to win - I have no idea what I would make, I'm way too tired to think about it right now. Besides, I have to get something finished before I even think about something new! ;-)
Loved the Cinnamon Spice tutorial and finished quilt. Please add my name to your contest drawing.
Fingers crossed that I might win.....
Wow what gorgeous fabrics! I would have to make (another) quilt for my daughter who is 3. Thank you for the chance to win :-)
Just found your "recipe" on Moda Bake Shop and love, love, love it! If I should be the winner of your giveaway, I would most definately use it to make my version of your lovely quilt. Thanks for the recipe and giveaway and was able to copy the instructions.
