Just finished the top....and I have to say I am a little disappointed. It isn't quite square...that is to say it wonks to one side. I'm wondering if I could block it to fix the problem. Have any of you ever done that?
How do you think it should be quilted?

I can't comment on anything other than the disappointed bit - because all I could think was WOW about the piecing. I would be thrilled if I did something that intricate. You should be too.
Is it really out of square, or does the printing on the cream fabric make it appear that way?
Ok wow! That was fast!
I can't see that it's not square. Blocking works for knitting but I've never tried it with fabric.
I've never blocked, but I'm not sure I've ever been in such awe of a block. I can't see a wonk, I think you are being really harsh on yourself! X x
I LOVE this block. I think it would be nice to quilt on the colours but leave the text flat because I like to see all the words! I feel ridiculous offering quilting advice because I know nothing about quilting compared to you but, as a personal thought, I think it looks fab as it is but, if you'd like it squarer, I this would block. I have ironed my blocks into shape with lots of steam before. I would guess you cut and sewed everything square and the little wonkiness is a pressing issue.
Grreat reading your post
