In My Rearview Mirror

December 2012

I am so glad it is over.  I can't ever remember a December that was so difficult.  I can't tell you why it was difficult.  I would if I could, but I have no idea.  All I can say is I am glad to welcome January.

My quilting business had a great of the best on record....and I took several weeks off....maybe 12 quilts in two weeks is one reason why the month was so trying.

I also finished a long ago UFO for myself, made 10 quilted baskets, and 1 block for my guild BOM program.

And participated in the Little Quilt - Sew, Vote, Swap on Flickr....with two minis.  I made two (the two on the bottom of the following photo) and received two.

And had my 8th pattern published by Moda Bakeshop, Landlocked   I have a few more in the look for them and maybe a give away or two here when they are released.

I have a few more prescious days with all of my boys you won't see much of me until next week.  Until then  may your days be blessed with all that is good and wonderful.

Perhaps all those customer quilts were a contributing factor! I know my family commitments made December long and trying for me but I also know that you love having your guys around you so I'm sure family wasn't your issue. Anyway, it's done and dusted now and we were both carried on everlasting arms, even if it didn't feel like it!

I think December can be a very emotional month with a lot of expectations to manage and so many activities going on. I didn't do one bit of baking and put up about half of my decorations and I think that will be my new normal going forward. Less busy work = more enjoyment and way less stress. I hope you find January to be a happier month Cindy.

I cannot believe how much you got done in one month. I hope January is filled with joy and new possibilities for you, Cindy. You deserve so much.
