100 Followers Give Away

Hello all,

As promised, I am back today with a give away.  A very tiny give away mind you...but a give away none the less.

I just hit 100 followers.  I am delighted and amazed.  Who da thunk it, and not one of you related to me.  AND today I am featured on Moda Bake Shop with my 6th pattern in as many months. 

Date Night by Tops to Treasures for Moda Bake Shop
Date Night is a generously sized quilt that features Kate Spain's Cuzco fabric line.  The bright colors dance and pop on a sea of grey.  I think the quilt is simple and elegant in design and not terribly difficult to make, although there are a lot of pieces....mostly because I was trying to use Moda's new pre-cut size.  Candy Charms are 2 1/2" square - just the right size to give you an idea about how the fabric will look and great for making mini's or big quilts if you are trying to get scrappy without having a huge scrap bin.

I had 3 packs left over and they are on the table for this give away.  (Told you it was tiny.) 

The give away is open to everyone, although I would prefer that you are a follower of Tops to Treasures.  International visitors are more than welcome to play along.

Leave a comment telling me what you might make with my lovely left overs.  (Hmm fabric left overs are way better than food left overs, we call them scraps...like they are not worth much.  I think we have it backwards.  Wonder what my family would think if I started calling food left overs scraps instead.)

I will draw a random winner on Tuesday, October 16.  (Yes, that is kind of a random day...but it would have been my Daddy's birthday and what better way to remember him than to give a gift to someone?!)

    Another dynamite quilt! Great design and I can see it made up with many different fabric line. Congratulations on another winning quilt.

    Just came by after seeing your recipe on Moda Bake Shop. I love any quilt made with Kate Spain fabrics and I think this one will be on my to do list.

    Well....Kate Spain is my absolute favorite!! If I were lucky enough to win these little cuties I would make granny squares with them. I'm hooked on those blocks right now and these would be perfect. Thanks for the chance!!

    I am starting on small gifts(makeup bags, toothbrush kits, etc) for my daughter's volleyball team
    for Christmas--these Candy Charms would every single one POP with color!
    I love, love LOVE this quilt pattern and was hooked on the Cuzco fabric collection at
    first sight!!

    Not sure what I would make with these cute little packs of fabric. Most likely a table topper or a cute little wallhanging. Congrats on 100 followers. Thanks for the great giveaway. The day you are drawing the winner should be my lucky day as it is my birthday.

    I just found your blog and I love this quilt! Love your story and can relate to those lunches out with mom and grandma. I would love to make this quilt for snuggling with my honey. The charms packs would be perfect for matching pillows.

    I would make a baby quilt using some solids. I love your pattern featured on Moda Bake Shop.

    Congrats on your 100th post, being featured on Moda Bake Shop, your 6th pattern in six months. You've got a lot going on! I could not figure out how to "Follow" you, could'nt find the button. I have to make a baby girl quilt, so that's what I would use the fabric for.

    Darling quilt, on my list to make. Love those little precuts, just too cute and a big time saver. How do you find pretty grey fabrics? Not in my quilt store, and regular cotton from the big stores just looks cheap. Thanks for the chance!

    Cindy--I love your quilt but what I like even more is the use of little pieces of fabric. I started making quilts for our local pediatric unit in May of 2010. Since that date, every child who has been admitted has received a quilt to take home with them. These are beautiful quilts that anyone would love to own. I use any scraps that people are willing to share with me. I would love to have your giveaway to use in one of the quilts.     I am a child of the same era and I too loved to watch my mom dress up to go out. Love your quilt and it made it to the top of my do list. If I won, have to be fun pillows - cant have enough of.

    Wow, I would never get a quilt with such tiny squares made...I can't even seem to make one with big squares! But it is stunning! I think I would make a book bag with them. We just discovered the mobile library that stops a few streets over and now I need a book bag to haul the quilting books I request home. Thanks for sharing!

    Yay to getting 100 well deserved followers, and well past that number now. I think if I won I would think about turning them into an epp hexie project as i have a whole bunch of papers cut waiting for 2.5" squares and I just have not got round to cutting fabric yet.     Your quilt is amazing. I love the traditional look, but modern feel it has. The story reminds me of my mom, who dressed up for functions in a strapless black chiffon, pearls, and black pumps with rhinestone heels. I thought she was so beautiful!!! (1950's). Miss her so much! thanks for sharing~

    I have seen this quilt on Pininterst and loved it, and have tried to find it in the Moda Bake Shop however it has been archived, and they say it will be updated, but I have been waiting months.
    I have also tried to email them without much success.
